I always like heading over to Brian Windhorst’s blog on gamenights after halftime to see his analysis of the first half. I certainly wasn’t expecting to see this up there tonight,
“Folks, I have not watched a second of the first half as I pursue some hot trade rumors with the Cavs. They are being very active and are in talks over a blockbuster that has not been reported yet. It does not involve Mike Miller. More to come later.”
I can’t say what to make of this. What exactly does ‘blockbuster’ mean? A 3 or 4 team trade? Who are even the possibilities? Is landing Andre Miller considered a blockbuster? There are definitely a million more questions than answers on this. Hopefully Brian will have something new up there tonight, but as of right now I have not been able to find anything more about this and I have no clue what is going on. Andre Miller, Vince Carter, Zach Randolph, and Ron Artest are the biggest names that were rumored to be on the block, but Brian says that this trade they’re working on right now has not been reported yet, so I’m inclined to think it involves someone who was off the radar.
We’ll be keeping our eyes out and our ears open on this and will be sure to add our input as soon as we find anything out. Our hope here at WFNY is that this isn’t just more smokescreens being sent out by Danny Ferry to make us all think that they are actually being active and trying to get something done. I, for one, am tired of getting my hopes up, so I won’t throw out any of the names that popped into my head. I’ll just be waiting and watching.
